Hello folks! On our wine journey we are exploring some of Chile’s unique and terroir focused wineries!
To start this week’s tasting we are going to enjoy a 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Bodega. This winery is really unique in the sense that their grapes are grown on volcanic soil. On the nose we are going to enjoy a bouquet of ripe banana and pineapple and a hint of vanilla.
Next on the docket we have a Montes Malbec, which is a 100% Malbec, grown in the Valle De Colchagua. This wine is fruit forward and is aged in French Oak for 6 months. When we drink this wine we are going to smell an intense amount of strawberry and blackberry jam with notes of cocoa and coffee.
Lastly, for our tasting we are going to enjoy the Bodega Carmenere Reserva. This silky smooth medium bodied wine truly showcases Chile’s soil and it reflects in this fruit forward and well balanced Carmenere.
