Washington Wine Tasting, Thursday December 9th!

Welcome back to another week of wine tasting! For this week it is all about Washington!

We start in the Walla Walla valley where we find the L’Ecole Winery, which is one of that states’ first family-owned and operated winery that was founded in 1983. The grapes used in this Chenin Blanc were sourced from some of the oldest vineyards in Washington State. This wine has strong pear and green apple notes as well as some lemon and peach on the nose.

Next on the block we travel to the Columbia Valley and visit Proprietary Rock Winery. This Red Blend which consists of 40% Malbec, 40% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon creates a sophisticated and indulgent red blend that has notes of plums, cherries, jam and a hint of minerals.

Lastly for the tasting we stay in the Columbia Valley and visit Patterson Cellars Winery. This dessert wine is 100% Late Harvest Roussanne. This wine shows a beautiful bouquet of apricots, pears, apples, honey and a hint of ginger. This wine is overly rich and should be served with a slight chill.
