Oregon Wine Tasting Thursday 3/3/22!

Welcome back to Noshies Wine Tastings! This week we are going to be exploring our neighbor, Oregon and some of the wines the state produces.

To start of the tasting we are going to be trying a Pinot Gris from Iris Vineyards. This wine has a luscious bouquet of pears and lemon and a well rounded amount of acidity. This winery is a small lot producer that has a hands on approach to wine making.

The next wine that we will be trying is a Riesling from A to Z vineyards. This lovely light bodied wine is on the drier side. This wine has a bouquet of pears, apples, lemon and grapefruit with a generous amount of acid. This wine is the perfect paring for any ceviche, shellfish and oysters.

Lastly on the tasting, we are going to try the Salem Wine Co’s 2018 Pinot Noir. The grapes from this wine comes from Eola-Amity Hills, which the climate in this region is consistent with warm summers and mild winters. Once you pour some of this Pinot Noir in a glass you immediately smell strawberries, raspberries and blackberries with a hint of leather, vanilla and oak. This wine is beautifully made and is meant to be enjoyed with friends and family.

We look forward to seeing you this Thursday, cheers!
