French Wine Tasting, Thursday March 17th!

Welcome back for another week of Wine Tasting’s! This week we are going to focus on some new producers to the store from France. These wines show and express loads of character and are a phenomenal expression of French Wines!

To start off the tasting we have a wonderfully crafted 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Chateau Buisson-Redon which is dry, crisp and delightfully refreshing. This wine would be elegantly paired with oysters on the half shell, light seafood dishes or by itself.

Next on the tasting we have a 100% Chardonnay from Bouchard Aine & Fils that has a lovely bouquet of green apple, pears, citrus and a touch of butter and oak. This wine would pair well with cheese boards light pasta or a snack night with some popcorn!

Lastly we have a 2016 Crozes-Hermitage from Guer-Van. This wine is a 100% Syrah with aromas of blackberries, currants, plums, baking spices and a hint of vanilla. One sip of this lovely wine your pallet is enjoying this velvety, luscious wine. This wine has moderate tannin levels with a decent amount of acid, therefore the perfect accompaniment to the wine would be a juicy steak and baked potatoes with all the trimmings!

We are looking forward to seeing you soon, cheers!
